Clinical Research
Did you know that clinical research takes place at this GP practice?
We’re proud to give our patients the opportunity to take part in high-quality clinical research here so that together we can support the development of new treatments and medicines for the future and keep improving NHS care.
There are many different types of research available for people to take part in, and the majority of people have a positive experience of research.
Taking part in a clinical research study is voluntary and can be a rewarding experience.
In this practice, you might be asked to take part in a clinical research study. When we are informed about research projects in the area we often invite appropriate patients to join in the research so you may get a personal invitation. Alternatively, ask our Practice Research Team about clinical studies suitable for you.
Over the last year, many patients have taken part in research in primary care settings (such as GP practices). You can join them and help us to improve healthcare.
Why be part of research?
- Your wellbeing – learn more about your condition and feel more in control
- Your care – you may be invited to more tests and offered more check-ups
- Help others – your participation could improve and save the lives of others
- Your Health – you may benefit from a new test or treatment
- Helping your NHS – new discoveries make the NHS stronger and more efficient
